Public Education

Welcome to our Life and Fire Safety (LAFS) Division. The Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department is deeply committed to the Life and Fire Safety of our residents. We strongly believe that by raising awareness of the dangers of fire and safety hazards, that we can prevent or significantly reduce the number tragedies of fire loss and death in our community.

The Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department reaches thousands of people each year with our life saving messages. There are 14 public schools in our service district with approximately 10,565 students, including several private schools that we visit during Fire Prevention Month each year. We also offer adult classes at civic functions and In-house training at our fire stations.

 


Fire Prevention Month is October 2010, and this year's theme is:

 "Smoke Alarms: A Sound You Can Live With"

NFPA's Fire Prevention campaign is October 3-9, 2010.  Magnolia Volunteer Fire

Department observes the entire month of October for Fire Prevention Awareness.
