Employee of the Quarter- This can be admin, suppression, or command staff and should be awarded to any member who exceeds expectations.

i. Medal of Honor: (Blackinton Medal A411 B and Ribbon RC-47) Shall be awarded to any Member who distinguishes himself/herself by performing an act of extraordinary personal bravery or heroism so
conspicuous as to clearly distinguish the Member’s act while engaged in the mediation of a fire, medical emergency, rescue, hazardous materials incident, or other type of emergency response.

ii. Medal of Valor: (Blackinton Medal A4117 and Ribbon RC-32) Shall be awarded to any Member who performs a personal act in a courageous manner in the protection of life or lives while engaged in the
mediation of a fire, medical emergency, rescue, hazardous materials incident, or other type of emergency response.

iii. Meritorious Conduct: (Blackinton Medal A2617 and Ribbon RC-8) Shall be awarded to any Member who distinguishes himself/herself by performing in an outstanding manner worthy of recognition while
engaged in the mediation of a fire, medical emergency, rescue, hazardous materials incident, or other type of emergency response.

iv. Life-Saving Award: (Blackinton Medal A768 and Ribbon RC-36) Shall be awarded to any Member for acts performed within the scope of his/her training and duty, which directly contributes to the saving of a life.

v. Distinguished Service Award: (Blackinton Medal A2366 and Ribbon RC-26) Awarded to any Member who may commit acts of merit or service in a non-emergency function that bring honor and distinction to the District, or that increase District efficiency or effectiveness; and to Members who continuously perform his/her duties with unusual thoroughness, conscientiousness, determination, and initiative.
